I don’t know of any mom who isn’t excited about this movie! This coming Mother’s Day Weekend, women, men and children of all ages will welcome the arrival of a special movie event: Babies. Opening on Friday, May 7th, the Focus Features release directed by Thomas Balmès simultaneously follows four babies around the world – from birth to first steps. One of the film’s stars, Mari, is seen riding around her native Tokyo, Japan, in a Maclaren Quest Sport.
“Babies is very special because it has such a positive message about life. We absolutely love the premise of this movie, which celebrates the first experiences of babies across cultures,” said Jed Whitters, National Sales Manager, Maclaren USA, Inc. “It resonates with the part we play in the daily lives of parents and babies around the world.”
Directed by award-winning filmmaker, Thomas Balmès, Babies captures the earliest stages of childhood and follows Ponijao, from Opuwo, Namibia; Bayarjargal, from Mongolia, near Bayanchandmani; Mari, from Tokyo, Japan; and Hattie, from the United States, in San Francisco.
To support the new movie, Maclaren is working with Focus Features to celebrate parents and their babies with a series of exciting promotions! These include:
Additionally, movie tickets will be given away to patrons in its South Norwalk, Conn. and New York City retail showrooms as well as on Facebook and Twitter, where Maclaren will feature “fun facts” and other information about babies and the film.
