Ontario’s public educational media organization, TVOKids, is inviting children to get up and get active! With their new Don’t Sit Still Tour, TVOKids will be bringing their free high-energy live stage show to London on Saturday May 15 and Stratford on Sunday May 16. The tour is scheduled to arrive in Pickering and Vaughan in June.

Registered Dieticians and nutritionists from EatRight Ontario will be at various booths where families can drop by to ask questions and get information. This season’s new “Chef of the Day” contest is inviting childen to send in a healthy breakfast, lunch or dinner menu to www.tvokids.com/dss for a chance to appear on stage! Winners will also receive a TVOKids prize.

“The Ontario Government is pleased to support the TVOKids Don’t Sit Still Tour. Reaching out to children and parents with important messages on making healthy eating choices and being more active for better health is important. The show is an interactive and fun way to reach thousands of children throughout the province,” says Margarett Best, Ontario’s Minister of Health Promotion
