Review: Vera Wang Glam Princess

The original Vera Wang Princess was launched in 2006 and made headlines for it’s sugary sweetness. Since then we’ve seen the Flower Princess, Rock Princess and most recently the new Glam Princess. I recently had the opportunity to test this limited edition fragrance and it is definitely much different then the second two and fairly similar to the first. Once the fragrance has time to mellow and “settle” you begin to tell the difference! I find it is less intense and more juicy than the first.

Developed by perfumers Ilias Ermenidis and Harry Fremont (both of whom worked on the original Princess fragrances) Glam Princess is a delicious fruity floral with top watery notes of vibrant sparkling Pear, crushed Red Berries and tropical juicy Guava. The scent mellows to sweet heart notes of Orange Blossom and Vanilla Orchid and then settles to luxuriously soft Cashmere Wood, sugary Marshmallow and warm Ambrette.

The ad campaign for Glam Princess features Zoë Kravitz – the 21-year-old daughter of Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet –  leaving a party with paparazzi swarming around her like bees drawn to honey. In the end she leaves the crowd with whiffs of the warm and sugary fragrance.

If you loved the Vera Wang Princess you will love this fragrance! The Eau de Toilette Spray is available in 30 ml ($45) 50 ml ($72) through Sephora.
