We’ve reached the beginning of holiday season which means that most of us have children who are making lists of things they want/don’t need. The radio and television are sounding off with a multitude of commercials pushing the latest and greatest gadgets, toys and other things that “you need right now” because hey, it’s the holidays after all! Yesterday, I received the best gift I could have ever received thanks to the Ontario Toyota Dealers Association and Lisa Richer, a friend of mine here in town. No, I didn’t win a vehicle, instead I was given the opportunity to do […] Continue reading →

There are so many children’s apparel shops around, but it’s hard to find stores that offer a more limited collection of unique pieces rather than row after row of the same brand/styles. It gets boring and monotonous. It seems as though you need to visit/shop through European stores in order to get that kind of selection. There are several online stores that do carry many of these pieces but they are located in the UK. chAlk is a new location just opened last month and sells a curated collection of lifestyle driven youth apparel and accessories inspired by high quality […] Continue reading →

baskinrobbins

I love it when companies give back in fun and unique ways! Baskin-Robbins has a special place in my heart as I used to go there as a child quite often. On Veterans Day, they will donate 10 cents from each ice cream scoop sold in its U.S. locations to the United Service Organizations (USO), in honor of U.S troops, military families and veterans. Baskin-Robbins will also celebrate the military community all month long with its November Flavor of the Month, First Class Camouflage, and with a special Camouflage Waffle Cone. First Class Camouflage features a combination of Chocolate, Salty […] Continue reading →

September was Self Improvement Month, which was quite fitting considering the series of events that took place. As you may have noticed things have been a little quiet around here. I was busy hosting the ROAR Retreat in Costa Rica with my friend and business partner, Andrea Fellman. Being around such inspiring, intelligent and confident women was nothing short of inspiring. Andrea wrote a great post covering the gist of it, but there will be more coverage in the following weeks, so keep your eyes peeled! I came home exhausted from the busyness of it all, but a fire in […] Continue reading →
